DegreeArt Gallery Commission
I was recently asked by Degree Art Gallery for a Landscape painting featuring the Brazilian cityscape Rio De Janeiro. The client wanted it to be in the collage style I use in my landscapes, so some of the city buildings and tiny boats are carefully cut out painted pieces of paper. It also features the cable car on Sugarloaf Mountain include and the giant statue of Christ The Redeemer atop Corcovado mountain. In 2016 the Olympics will take place there - so in light of this I can imagine I will be doing some more Rio painting commissions over the next couple of years!

Art Shows in Norfolk and other things! Oct - Nov 2012
The Norwich Castle Open Art Show - Vision and Reality opened last week and it was great to see the wide range of artwork from Norfolk artists there. I have a piece in called 'Pride' which depicts a shop front on Earlham Road Norwich. This has recently been refurbished and redesigned so I am glad the painting was selected as it seems at an apt time. The show is open until the 9th of December and all works are for sale.
There is an upcoming Charity Art Auction in Norwich with The Green House Trust near the Forum. I will have three pieces up for sale at the auction. The online catalouge will go live on November 24th with the final auction off of December 8th.
I also have a whole bunch of art work up at The Green Grocers cafe gallery on Earlham Road in Norwich. All of these pieces are framed and for sale. One piece of the old Burrells Shop Front on Unthank Road was recently shortlisted for the Holt Art Prize.
I have been working on some new London Landscape Commissions and pieces, you can see them here on my website and I am pleased to be working with Box Galleries who currently have 4 of my plaster landscape pieces on tour in and around London at their moving art exhibition.
My work selected for the Signature Art Prize this year is still on show at the Vyner Street degree art gallery.
Finally there is a possibility I may have work at the Fisher Theatre in Bungay for their upcoming affordable art fair opening on December 10th so watch this space!... and in the mean time head down to Norwich Castle for the Art show and The Green Grocers for a distinctly better coffee than the castle!

the gorillas will be building on the success of the Go Elephants parade
in 2008. Residents and visitors will be able to follow the trail around
Norwich’s streets, parks and open spaces.
Sponsored by local businesses, the sculptures will excite, delight and raise significant funds for charity
when they are auctioned off at the end of the parade."

I am
pleased to announce that I have installed a series of landscape works at The
Space in Norwich. This amazing location was kindly secured by the Secret Art Collector
as part of an ongoing project and fantastic collaboration with the team at The Space.

The Space Conference and Events Centre in Roundtree Way, Norwich, recently gathered their professional artists for the inaugural opening of the '60 Exceptional Paintings' contemporary art exhibition which also recognises H.M. The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Celebrations in tandem with their new art gallery's opening.
'It's a wonderful achievement and we are very proud of launching this new visual arts centre in Norwich,' said Tom Rawls. 'Our intention - together with David and Secret Art Collector - is to deliver a very proactive Art Centre into the city of Norwich and the East Anglian community, and create opportunities for talented artists and art lovers to engage with all our planned activities.'
David Tattersall added,"I can't thank Tom and all the management team of The Space enough for providing this amazing Conference and Events Centre as a new Art Centre and Gallery for active professional artists as well as very keen amateur artists.
My art work is
currently hanging and available for sale or commission in the large atrium space
that is bright and full of natural light. As soon as you walk in you are struck

“Emerging artist Jenny Leonard Explores the subject of landscape as a platform for the self to traverse, bringing about new discoveries of the changing nature of perceived reality. The travelling mind and its surroundings are key to the nature of the work. Indeed she adopts strong contrasts with her choice of media that render elements of the work to become simultaneously both microcosmic and more immediately tangible.”
