Gorilla Sculpture at London Liverpool Street Station

At 11.30am on Friday 24th May 2013 at Liverpool St Station my Gorilla will be arriving on the platform (By Boots) to encourage visitors on this years Gorilla outdoor art trail in Norwich...

Travelling on the 9.30am train from Norwich to London, The Gorilla nicknamed ‘Boris’ will be waved-off from the platform by some of his troop and will remain in London for four weeks to greet commuters, visitors and tourists, before returning to Norwich for the launch of the ten-week trail on Monday 24th June 2013.  

Boris is decorated with iconic Norwich scenes including the Castle, City Hall and the Cathedral, along with images of Stephen Fry and Jake Humphrey and has been painted and designed by London based artist Jenny Leonard www.jenny-leonard.com and sponsored by the Norwich Business Improvement District (BID)

The GoGoGorillas! outdoor art trail is being delivered by Norfolk charity Break together with leading arts and education company Wild in Art to raise money for both Break and the Born Free Foundation. 

Visitors will be able to access the trail in Norwich starting from Monday 24th June 2013 by picking up a map or downloading a free app and the project will culminate in an auction of the gorilla sculptures on 3rd October 2013 at The Forum Norwich.
